I am looking to build a NAS ideally with bits I have laying around for homelab use.
I have 1 x Dell r900 128gb ram and 1 x Dell r905 128gb ram a couple of LSI 9211-8i from a previous napp-it build on different hardware but no longer have the mobo or CPU from that build.
The fans have been switched out for a more reasonable dB level.
Would the above hardware work and if any preference between the models? If so, I would like to add more drives 3.5 sata but no idea what expansion...
