I have strangest situation with iSCSi when used with ESXi. Every now and then we have dropouts which require us to restart the service as all our guest OS's lose their storage and especially Linux boxes go bananas and mount their storage as read-only. I've been looking into this for around 2 weeks now and every time it drops I check the logs and can see lots of entries like this;
