My motherboard (full info in sig below) has only 6 SATA ports and I need 11. I've been using an Ableconn PEX10-SAT PCIe 2.0 to SATA III card for the 5 additional SATA ports I need, but I've tracked various problems with drives spontaneously dropping out of pools and CAM timeout errors down to this card. The errors occur mainly under heavy load, FWIW. Here's the latest one:
