Hello, i´m running freenas 11.1 and i have installed the Nextcloud plugin, everything is working fine with SSL and security.
My question is, How can i have my whole LIVE freenas data on nextcloud without duplicity of the data on Jail?

Or maybe whats the best way to achieve this? How can I check my freenas from the cloud service (Ex. Nextcloud)?

Really will appreciate the help.

Hi,

Since 2 days, my FreeNAS 11.2-U2 server keeps rebooting. Just before it reboots, I get this error message (see attached picture).

The process is always the same : boot -> server OK -> x amount of time/or whenever I try to access the server via the Web UI -> reboot

How can I fix this? All my data is backed up.

I have my Freenas all setup and running and I’ve transferred like 3TB of movies to it. Now I’m trying to install Nextcloud and I get an error. And its not only Nextcloud its any plugin, they all give the same error. It goes through the whole downloading process and everything, but after like a minute it comes up saying,

[EFAULT] Exception: URLError:< urlopen error [Errno 8] hostname nor servname provided, or not known > occured, destroyed nextcloud.

Does anyone know what the problem...

I have installed jackett using the repository and have ran into issues where the service will just stop after 30 - 60 minutes. Everything runs fine when i start up the service up again however. The service starts automatically when the jail starts.

I am not sure how to fix this, any suggestions how to diagnose and fix?

Hello everyone,

Has anyone used a device like this to cram 3-4 more 3.5" drives into a pair of adjacent 5.25" bays? I currently have an Icy dock 2.5" + 3.5" to 5.25" bay in my spare NAS which can only house two 3.5" drives on its own, without direct cooling on the drives so they run around 37-39c.

Trying FreeNAS for first time. Built low end system (just a bit better hardware than low end Synology that can be a plex server) using ASRock J4105-ITX and 16G of ram. I have two 4TB HGSTs in a mirror with my Plex media dataset. I have a cheap WD SSD for my jails. Took a bit of study and youtube, but have plex installed and running fine. I'm using NFS between it and my Ubuntu Mate 18.04 build. I have the media folder mounted and am able to copy things to and from the FreeNAS fine...

Hello everyone,

I'd like to hear everyone's tips on setting up Replication Tasks.

On the destination server, setting canmount=noauto prevents iocage replication errors (after destination server reboot).

I'm thankful this was on the forums. But I had to dig a little to find this out!

Brand new install of Nextcloud on my Freenas server and it opens but i can't figure out how to get nextcloud working? I get this error when i try to finish the setup.
The username and password i tried is the one i made so i can access the files on windows from various computers on my network. Should i be using a different one? Also the location for the data folder is the address i used for finding the folder on windows, should that be different? I looked at the nextcloud documentation for...

Hello! I'm having a bit of trouble with my Plex Jail. I have a Broadcom dual nic card that works great, however I can't get the jail to use port bge1 for example and the freenas system to use bge0. My freenas configuration is pulling in both.

When I try and upgrade through the gui, the upgrade fails with the error messages below. It does seem to create the 11.2 environment, but if I try and use it, it hangs on "Booting". I have also tried using the USB/ISO upgrade method and I can get the drive to boot, but it also hangs on Booting.

I have attempted this multiple times with the same result (all old boot environments deleted to ensure there is enough space). I am running on a ASROCK q2900

Using 11.2 and trying to build iocage jails in their own VLANs. I'm trying to stay on the new GUI path as much as possible.

The primary interface is lagg0. There's a VLAN interface, vlan20, with lagg0 as it's parent. The new jail is set for DHCP.

iocage start foo fails because it couldn't obtain a DHCP address. It then auto-stops the jail, leaking the interfaces it creates <https://github.com/iocage/iocage/issues/757>.

Hey All,

I have a quick question- I have a KGPE-D16 Mobo with 2 AMD Opteron 6320 Processors and two (2) 16G of ECC Mem and planning on putting it together for my main FreeNAS build. This is mostly for storage which will be accessed by 4 people (for now). We mostly use AutoCAD and Revit.

I recently purchased the Norco 4220 case to be able to add drives as we grow.

1. Is this configuration a good one or should I get something simpler?
2. What SATA controller should I get to expand...

Hello all :

I have been attempting to fix my Plex Media Server plugin but I can't seem to get the networking out of the jail to operate properly. I am running FreeNAS 11.2-U1 on an ESXi server. The VM has been provisioned with 4 vCPUs (L5640) and 8GB memory. This has worked before in older versions of FreeNAS over the last two years. I have tried everything I can think of to include reinstalling FreeNAS 11.2-U1 from scratch and then trying to install the Plex plugin. I can't seem to use DHCP at all...

i'm running Freenas now for more than half a year in preparation to make the migration away from Unraid.
Specs:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1231 v3
Supermicro X10SLM-F
32GB ECC

I have 2 pools:

Mass Storage 14x4TB Raidz2
SSD Pool 3x240GB Raidz1

Boot drive 16GB USB3.0 / 64GB SSD SATA (upgraded from USB stick yesterday fresh install)
The boot drive and the SSDS are connected to the onboard SATA.
HDD pool is on a LSI HBA IT Mode
