rrdcached - Could not read RRD file

Hey everyone, so I just updated from FreeNAS>9.2 to current FreeNAS (FreeNAS-11.2-U2.1 ), and everything in the update went smoothly except for one weird thing that is now spamming my terminal:

Mar 16 17:32:50 freenas rrdcached[2635]: handle_request_update: Could not read RRD file.

Middleware failed to start

I had downloaded the latest FreeNAS-11.2U2 and U3 files and extracted the ISO files on a USB stick. I Rebooted then ran each of these to install to another USB stick. These were each a clean install wiping out the contents each time. On booting each of these varients I get the message: Middlewared failed to start. Then later on the message appears of: Failed to run middleware call. Daemon not running? Don't get any fancy GUI just like a terminal interaction. Didn't go further due to...

What has happened to the FreeNAS roadmap?

Now that the bug tracker has migrated away from Redmine how can I determine when releases are due and what the outstanding issues are.

The old system was very clear, but unless I am not looking in the right place I don't see any way to get the info provided by the old system.

Deluge plugin not installing

The plugin install gets 95% of the way running post-install script then suddenly fails saying:
[EFAULT] Exception: CallError:[EFAULT] An error occured! Please read above occured, destroyed deluge.
I am able to install Plex without error. Tried deleting my whole iocage dataset but still get the same error.
I am on freenas 11.2-u3.

I've been messing with Freenas on and off for almost a year. After going down the Inverted triangle of doom - I shy'ed away from a glusterfs 2 node replica +arbiter - (The cost just wasn't justified with doing massive duplication efforts, which was just plain stupid for home lab).

SMB service not starting in FREENAS 11.2 U1

my server is is not starting SMB services. I have actually reinstalled the 11.2 U1 and the condition remains. I get the following the console messages:

Plex Media Server (PlexPass) vs 11.2-U3

I'll state up front, some of this is my fault. I moved halfway across the country, and had to reset my FreeNAS server to some new IP space. I have a working Plex distro in the legacy 11.1, and unintentionally deleted it. So, I have to reset Plex under a new jail instance, and have been encountering issues. Maybe it's me, maybe it's a defect. I don't know.

Problem saving email settings

Hi

I'm running FreeNAS-11.3-MASTER-201904081045 and when I go to system/email and enter my outgoing gmail server settings it will let me send a test email no problems. As soon as I click save I get the error "Fatal error! Check logs. ".

Which logs should I be checking, I have checked both /var/log/messages and /var/log/middlewared.log and there is nothing in them I can see which is related.
Where are these settings saved, in a flat file or a database?

VSS no longer works since FreeNAS update

Since I upgraded to version 11.2-U3, VSS no longer works on the client side.

When I go to "Previous Versions" in the properties of a folder, there is nothing left.

I have opened my nextcloud server install on FreeNAS to WAN with a mapped DNS and I have got server cert from Let's Encrypt for it. I have kept the cert updated by a certbot run by a Cron job in the jail. It was fine on FreeNAS 11.1-U6.

After migrated a new plugin of nextcloud based on iocage of FreeNAS 11.2, I would like to keep the server cert updated by a certbot in the jail as it used to be.

To my surprise, following the steps of FreeBSD and NginX instructions listed on...

Hallo,
bin neu hier, und habe das neueste FreeNAS 11.2U3 installiert.

Nehme gerade einige grundlegende Einstellungen vor und habe u.a. die Sprache (System -> General) auf "German" umgestellt. Allerdings bekomme ich - trotz diverser Neustarts- im neuen Webinterface ausschließlich englische Begriffe angezeigt.
Wechsele ich jedoch ins "alte" (legacy) bekomme ich weitgehend - bis auf einige Übersetzungsfehler - eine deutschsprachige Oberfläche.

Was muss ich noch ändern in der neuen Oberfläche...

I have just started migrating from a qnap TS-251+ to Freenas which I find amazing. I really love the new UI which now really can compete in my mind with brands like qnap or synology. On my qnap box i can connect to virtualized machines also with VNC Protokoll (virtualization station) Here however it is possible to access the qnap from outside via dyndns with https and open a virtual machine which is still reachable via HTTPS Port 443 and not the special port outside. Additional snapshots on replicated datasets

Hi All,

I have a freenas box running 11.0-U1 (soon to move to 11.2-U3) that is replicating datasets to a backup system on 11.2-U3. This works.

I want to keep or make snapshots on the remote/destination system longer than the source. I do not wish to keep this data around on the primary for capacity reasons.

If I do not "delete stale snapshots on remote system" I end up with many tens of thousands of snapshots on the backup platform that need to be managed independently. If I do delete...

Hello there,
I would appreciate if somebody could help me troubleshooting my FreeNAS installation:
I have been running FreeNAS on 2 USB-sticks (each 8GB in size) for some years now. Some weeks ago, I wanted to replace the USB-sticks with larger ones, so I don't have to delete earlier versions of FreeNAS everytime I update, due to the lack of space. Ever since I am struggling to get my server up and running again.
