Need help deleting a WebDAV folder

Recently I made the mistake of creating a WebDAV folder and keeping the "Change User & Group Ownership" box checked. This folder is now impervious to my attempts of removing it. Be it through SMB on my Windows machine or through shell.

The main problem is me not being able to access the folder through shell at all. Whenever I try to navigate to it I get a "No such file or directory"-error. It appears I'm unable to access the share it's on, period. Now the share is actually on the root of a...

Pool pool1 state is offline: None

my Freenas (11.3 release) is base on PVE system.
pool1 consists of 3 hard drives. One of the drive was not recognized by the PVE. After upgrading the PVE , everything returned to normal. But Freenas start, pool1 became unknown.

Installation of Windows VM on Freenas 11.3

Hi all,

Dug out my old Gen8 1610T Proliant server and have managed to upgrade it up to 11.3. This then gave me the idea to have a virtual machine running windows 10 off of it.

I have got through the UEFI issue with the boot from file and am getting the windows logo appear. Almost immediately though I get a blue screen (see attached), which has me a bit flummoxed!

Could anyone help me out and point me in the right direction? Thank you!

Jails Gone After Updating to 11.3-U2.1

Just upgraded from 11.1-U7 to 11.3-U2.1.

After rebooting, it seems that my jails are missing. They do not show up in the UI and the jls command line return nothing. They do still exist on the filesystem though, but just do not seem to be running. Does the upgrade not migrate them? Any way to fix it?

Hey all - not new to FreeNAS or ZFS as a whole, but it's been a while. I have 3 large-ish ESXi hosts in my lab each with (2) E5-2680v2 CPUs and 384GB of RAM and various amounts of spindles and SSDs within on local hardware RAID controllers. My RAID controllers are no longer on the vSphere 7 HCL and so I am looking to go to a storage server and 2 ESXi hosts in my lab.

Quick 10gbe upgrade question

So i'm patiently awaiting delivery of my Netgear GS110MX for this and just thought i'd check that I should be ok.

My plan is to have a 10gbe link between my server and my windows machine for large file copies. I know the windows box is a simple pci-e adaptor and bam problem solved.

From my research for freenas in theory if i pick up a SolarFlare SFN5122F and a SPF+ module it should be just plug and play and picked up in driver? (obviously with the correct IP assignments etc being done)

I have two ESXi hosts that connect to my FreeNAS system via iSCSI 10gb links. I noticed it was taking about 2-5 minutes just to login to my vCenter VM about a month ago. So I brought everything down to do some updates and I decided to also put in an SSD I had as an L2ARC. The ram is maxed out on my board at 32GB of ECC. I rebooted everything and got it all back up and running and everything was extremely snappy. vCenter loaded and logged in within seconds instead of minutes.

Fast forward...

Imported a dataset to a new drive, now it's unaccessable.

The dataset that was imported last night is showing up as having the same data size as the old dataset. But the problem is that I'm not able to find any folders in the dataset to set mount points. I go to check the ACL settings, and I'm stuck on Please Wait. And figuring that I was good, the old dataset was already destroyed.

FreeNAS MiniXL AIC QSFP / Thunderbolt

Looking at the specs for the FreeNAS MiniXL I can see the device is equipped with 10G and has one PCIE X4 slot open. Does anyone know of a compatible 25/40G NIC card (QFSP would be fine) or a Thunderbolt 2/3 card that would fit. Everything I am finding seems to require an X8 connector.

I am in the process of ordering one of MiniXL units with all SSDs and would like to be able to get more than 10G throughput if possible.

Time Machine issue on 11.3

Since updating from 11.2 to 11.3 my mac (latest Catalina release) isn't able to backup to the time machine share anymore. The backup dialogue shows the following error: "the network backup disk does not support the required capabilities". I've already tried several things like deleting and recreating the share. The smb4.conf file does not contain a "fruit:time machine = yes" line. As soon as i reboot with the 11.2 version, time machine backups works like a charm. Does anyone have an idea...

Bonjour,
Je poste aujourd'hui car en ouvrant ce matin mon interface du nas, j'avais une alerte critique sur les 4 disques qui composent le pool de données.
Comment avoir plus d'information?
quand cela s'est passé, est-ce qu'il y a avait une tâche en particulier ? à quelle température sont montés les disques ?
Peut-on connaitre ces informations ?

Je précise que mon nas n'est vraiment pas beaucoup utilisé, et qu'en cette période, il n'y a pas de chaleur extérieure qui justifie cette alerte...

Students often break the system and can't find the U disk,I need a PEX server for students to reinstall windows.
I've seen many tutorials, but most of them are not targeted at freebsd.

Hello,

I am fairly new to FreeNAS and wanted to set it up as home server for my family and run a VM on it aswell. So basically I have followed a guide on how to set it up, but I somehow can't connect to the user folders.

Setup:
Processor: AMD Threadripper 1950x
Motherboard: ASRock X399 Taichi
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (4 sticks running in quad channel)

Hi Team,

I'm building a new Freenas system on a SuperMicro 12 bay SAS2 HBA setup. After finally getting past some issues with memory it is now installed, seeing all disks and ready to start configuration. However, I have encountered a problem with Active Directory.

When I attempt to join the domain, the UI shows as "joined" by presenting me with a leave domain button but when you navigate out and back in, it disappears. A Kerberos realm appears for the domain i've "joined" it to as well as...
