Bonjour,

J'ai acheté des disques d'occasion (WD red 4to) et je pense avoir un problème sur l'un d'entre eux :

Comme vous pouvez le voir, les valeurs des attributs critiques sont à 0 mais j'ai pourtant des erreurs "read failure" sur les longs tests SMART effectués...
J'ai essayé cette commande entre les tests 3 et 2:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/ada1 bs=512 count=1 seek=3056693328
mais j'ai eu le même bloc en erreur ensuite.

Hi,

Windows workstation and server are connected directly by a DAC Copper cable (I ruled out the cable issue by using 3 differents brands and cable length).

XA520-DA2 Cards and Driver 4.1.197.0 - 27/11/2019.

Windows 10 Pro / FreeNAS (latest version)

The problem is that Bandwith results are below expectations and not symmetrical and that they are well below what I get on Ubuntu. Using two Ubuntu live USB keys and doing a Iperf on both machines, I get a constant robust symmetrical 9.49...

I put the question in search and it said no results found. Main PC is an i7-4770 16GB ram and a 480GB SSD Will it be sufficient to run FreeNas or will I have to use the Synology software? I assume I have to install it on the PC first but then what comes next. IF it will run on their box how do I get the system on the correct HDD in the box. Plan on a 240GB SSD and an 8TB 7200RPM HDD. How would I tell FreeNas which disk to operate from? Plan on files on the 8TB and I read about putting...

Bonjour à tous !

Je me tourne vers vous car j'ai quelques questions !
Il y a peu je me suis lancé dans le montage d'un serveur à la maison, et après quelques recherches, FreeNas m'a paru être une bonne solution, je n'ai pas énormément de besoin mis à part du stockage en réseau, un serveur Plex, du torrent et un/des serveurs Minecraft (survie vanilla, pas de modpack gourmand) !
Par soucis d'économie, j'ai monté cette petite config en occasion :

Processeur : AMD Athlon X4 950
CM : Asus...

Hi all,

I was surprised by this dialog in Virtual Machines -> <Machine> -> Devices:


Does that imply that I could probably pass my xhci controller to my Windows VM to connect and control my UPS with its Windows software? That would be awesome!
How do I go about it?

je viens cherchez de l'aide au pré de vous car le DDR ou étais installé le système exploitation FreeNas et HS.
Je voudrais savoir la procédure a suivre pour ne pas perdre les donné après le remplacement et la réinstallation de FreeNas.
Désole pour les divers faute orthographe qui se sont glissé mais le français et moi sa fait 2.

This seems really odd and I can't figure out what to do. I have several iocage jails running fine and then after a router reboot, Tautulli would not let me access the webui. I found that the jail couldn't start. I deleted the jail and tried to create it again but it kept having the same issue, I went down the path of upgrading from 11.2 to 11.3 U3.2 and also upgraded all my jails (thankfully most went smooth with the exception of transmission which took some time to fix). I am a network noob geek. I'm having my first Cisco CCNA V7 course this Saturday. I know the basics of a network, but I need to learn so much more.

My LAN is working behind a Bitdefender BOX 2 gateway/firewall.

I am installing FreeNAS on a pc inside the network for SMB data backup/ multimedia share inside the network. On the FreeNAS I'm planning to run a VM Ubuntu server with Pi-Hole on it for blocking the adds. All good here...hopefully!

First question:
I also need to run a Blynk server...

Moved to an external Windows AD DS and using FreeNAS to host all the shares. All the permissions/are correct and operation is great. The issue is I need to add file auditing for viewing users behavior, (adding/deleting/copying/modifying/ ect). Has any one ever had any success being able to get this to work. I have tried several Auditing software solutions but they all don't recognize the share, and any logs. I want to keep my FreeNAS setup but I need to add this. Any help or...

I wanted to share my scripts because I think I'm not the only one who wants to monitor his FreeNAS server a bit more closely and in a more personalized way than the automatic nightly emails would do.

Please note that you're the only one responsible of what you do in the CLI so don't blame me if you mess up your system.

It's been a quick 2 weeks for TrueNAS SCALE! Thanks to everybody who has been providing feedback and contributing. We were able to fix a whole slew of issues rather rapidly which was only possible with so many testers giving this a whirl.

Wanted to let everybody know that full KVM / VM support has now landed in SCALE and is ready for testing. It supports PCI/GPU passthrough, as well as nested VM support. I'll be periodically updating the developer-notes page when notable changes like this...

I have two FreeNAS systems which are both running 11.3-U3.2. Both systems are running on Cisco C240 M4 servers with dual E5-2637 v3 CPU's. On my storage network, both systems have Chelsio T580-LP-CR nic's with 9000 MTU set. The primary server has 256G RAM, and the secondary server has 160G RAM. I have reverse proxy running in jail.
installed
nginx-1.18.0_15
openssl-1.1.1g

both should in theory give TLSv1.3 support/

I am running an almost-fresh install of TrueNAS-12.0-BETA

I tried the replication task for the first time to move a dataset from one pool to another.

Everything worked as expected until the very end.

For some reason the target dataset is encrypted...

I tried the key from the old pool but that didn't work.

Anyone know how to unlock the dataset?

Or to use the Replication feature without having...

The S3 service 'Secret Key' is set to accept alphanumeric characters only. Our secret key contain '/' and '+' which prevent setup of service.
