TrueNAS CORE 12.0-U8, Task Manager claims smart.test.wait is indefinitely stuck at 99%


This seems to only happen with manually invoked S.M.A.R.T. tests. The Task Manager will display a running smart.test.wait that is stuck indefinitely at 99%.

I can confirm with smartctl -a /dev/xyz that the test indeed finished in two minutes with no errors. However, the Task Manager GUI claims the test is still running, currently at 99%. :oops...

Hi guys,

I recently figured out that some datas in one of my pools are missing. I use TrueNAS in my privat environment and only my wife and I have access to it. None of us deliberately deleted the data's.
My wife realised the loss by searching some pictures and saw that the folder was empty.
How can it be that data is gone lost?
Is there a possibility to figure out when this happened?

Was the ability to change the default certification removed in Scale? or relocated elsewhere? (In core, iirc, it used to be under General > Settings. Scale does not seem to have the option)

I was doing a search to see if there was a graphical file manager that, for example, Qnap offers with their NAS units/in their NAS operating system and so far, I haven't really been able to find one following this thread: https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/would-like-a-graphical-file-manager.85672/

In there, one of the other community members mentioned using either cpio -p or rsync -a to copy and/or move data around.

Hi Guys,

i updated my Truenas a few days ago and yesterday when I was trying to change a user password I tried to log in and the webpage was not working so I decided to do a restart of the server, and since then I am not able to use the machine and have data and few plugins that I don't have any back from them, so really need to get this working any help would be appreciated thanks,

I'm using TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02-RC.2. I have 2 nvme SSDs and 6 HDDs and set up 2 pools running without problem. But when I try to check the disk temperature, I go to the Report and change the report type to Disks from the up-right corner of the page. It always jumps back to the homepage - Dashboard. What should I do to fix this?

I have a TrueNAS server (clean install of latest stable build) and it can't reach the update server or any of the plugin directories. I know it is having to do with my network configuration but I'm at a loss as to where to look. Ping lookups will resolve to the IP address but fails to return any packets. Does someone have an idea of what network settings I am forgetting to correct?

Salve a tutti, vengo subito al dunque. Avrei bisogno di copiare i file di cartella presente sul mio sistema truenas su una cartella remota di un mio pc che sia tramite ftp, web Dav, smb. Una volta copiati i file sul pc devono essere eliminati sul mio truenas . In pratica dovrei usarla solo da tramite. Secondo voi è possibile? Ho provato con rsync ma non funziona con questi protocolli. Grazie

I've imported a number of pools from my FreeNAS Core after committing a fresh install of SCALE and I've noticed that only a handful of swap md devices were created from the pools of devices with swap allocated on them.

Hi everyone!

I need help to understand what is going on with my freenas memory usage. After a reboot the nas memory is normal but over time Services increases to the point that almost entire Nas is consumed (see image below)


I only have one jail with MiniDLNA and one ubuntu virtual machine with 4GB memory allocated. Can someone help me investigate why Services are consuming so much?

I'm running a system based on a Dell T1700 with 24GB memory.
