jackett jail, service keeps stopping

I have installed jackett using the repository and have ran into issues where the service will just stop after 30 - 60 minutes. Everything runs fine when i start up the service up again however. The service starts automatically when the jail starts.

I am not sure how to fix this, any suggestions how to diagnose and fix?

Hi folks,

So I'm in the process of doing a major storage upgrade on my FreeNAS 9.10.2-U4 box (see sig link for full specs), slowly transitioning from 8x4TB to 8x10TB (RAIDZ2). I've swapped out 2 disks so far, da0 and da1, with no issues and successful resilvers. I was planning to swap out a 3rd disk this evening but when I pulled up my IPMI console getting ready to shut down I spotted this error on da0, which is one of the new 10TB drives (Seagate Ironwolf ST10000VN0004). Jumbo Frames on LAGG

I can not for the life of me get Jumbo Frames on a LAGG to be enabled.

I destroyed the LAGG. Enabled Jumbo Frames on both parent interfaces and then recreated the LAGG and rebooted. Did not enabled Jumbo Frames.
I then tried enabling Jumbo frames on the LAGG using the edit members section of the GUI, rebooted and it did not work.

The documentation does state this is possible and a restart is needed to enable .

NIC is a Chelsio 420-BT and the with is a Netgear XS716T.

Iocage update plex

Since executing iocage update plex, my plex doesn’t work. Running freenas 11.2. Jail says it’s up and plug-in says it’s up, but server doesn’t respond. At wits end with freenas.

I'm trying to install Plex Media Server and I'm getting this error

I've got an old iXsystems TrueNAS server that we replaced with a new iXsystem TrueNAS server. I figured I would rebuild the old hardware with FreeNAS and utilize it as a backup target or other non-primary storage. I've installed 11.1-U7 as the old server doesn't have UEFI that the current 11.2 version requires for GPT boot support (unless I'm mistaken).

Initially everything seemed to working... I've added it to our AD domain and its seeing the AD users and groups fine. Though when I went to...

Hello all :
I'm new here and my freenas os version

OS Version:
FreeNAS-11.2-U2.1

(Build Date: Feb 27, 2019 20:59) upgrade from 11.2-U1 ,the U1 was fresh installed in usb stick.

Yesterday, after I edit the Mount points of the transmission jail , I found the transmission cannot startup and shows up like this

Server: FreeNAS 11.2 box with NFS share' Client: Mac running 10.14.3 and ChronoSync 4.9.1

I use Chronosync to synchronize files between an external Thunderbolt drive on my Mac and a FreeNAS server with an NFS share. The NFS share has maproot set to my user and group name.

This used to work, but recently it's failing with Chronosync returning this error:

Right Target encountered error: "File is exclusively open by another application."

In this case the right target is the FreeNAS server...

Помогите разобраться с сабжем.
В настройках SMB убрал "описание". Мне оно не нужно.
На клиентах с Windows XP теперь вместо того описания того что было "freenas server" теперь "SAMBA 4.7.0-GIT-EA139BFFADA-FREENAS"
Как отключить описание совсем, чтобы клиенты если и видели то только имя хоста.

I'm just sharing my experience with the Supermicro X11SDV-4C-TP8F :)

Currently there are
  • 8x WD Red 1TB
  • 1x Intel SSD 750
  • 1x LSIxxxx (forgotten) in IT-mode
  • 2x Samsung 32GB (M393A4K40CB1-CRC)
  • 1x SNK-C0111AP4L
connected. Used for iSCSI with several ESXi.
The board is working great. Nothing negative to report. The only thing is: heat. CPU has a passive cooling system...

Hey, long time since I've been on the Forum now,
mostly anything I do with FreeNAS is working perfect :D

However, I have did now hit a strange bug.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The setup is an temp production server.
We needed some speed, and quick storage before January.

The FreeNAS is part of an Active Directory, and the join is ok.
DNS is setup right, NTP is verified, and domain users can login to...

New to the forum, been lurking over for a while. Not yet built my FreeNAS box yet, still going though the documentation, hardware specs and playing with it in VMware. Moving over from a Ubuntu 14 file server. Reason for the switch is to be able to do more with the hardware.

Hello All,

I updated my FreeNAS server a couple weeks ago to 11.2. Had a bunch of problems as many people have. I've applied the update fix that came out after 11.2. Most things have returned to normal however, I'm getting an error on the monitor "/mnt/Storage/Home/james/ .login_conf is group writeable by non-authorized groups.

I've rebooted, changed my underwear, and read the entrails of a chicken. Seriously, I have no thought where to start.

Any help would be welcomed.

I am now working for a small consulting company after 36 years at a large corporation, I miss having a dedicated IT department to run everything. Now by default I am IT along with my regular duties. Need to replace an aging server (running ARCH Linux) with about 4T of data with a new one, and need to have space for an additional 12T of data sitting in cold storage.
