I have a linux server set up with NUT to share the current UPS status, which is working just fine in the attached pfSense router. But when I use the GUI to set it up under FreeNAS I get the following error in the syslog:

Hello,

I already posted for a similar problem a few days ago.

In the meantime, I had an uncontrolled shutdown (this problem is fixed and will not happen again).

But now I can't start on 11.2-U4.1 any more. It fails every time.

Fortunately I had a 11.1-U7 backup.

I tried again to upgrade. And it fails again.

I started the update about 2 hours ago, it is still in...

I am having a BIG problem on my FreeNas setup.

I have a freenas box sharing a ZVOL with ISCSI directly to a VM with windows 2016 server on a XenServer.
Its been working fine for many weeks and just today the volume started to give error on accessing folders (file corruption).
After a reboot of the VM now i have no access to the volume!

I rebooted the FreeNas box also with no luck.
I see no errors on the Freenas.
I have other iscsi shares on the same pool and the are working fine!

I have freenas server that serves as iSCSI san for vms.

pool status is HEALTHY but in Alerts i see :

Hi, Pretty new at this

I tried to replace a disk as it showed as "FAULTED". As the system is hot swapped, I marked the disk OFFLINE and replaced it with a new one. Then a marked it as "REPLACE". This is what it shows now - I don't have a clue what happened - see attached image.

My zpool status returns this:

I decided to move back over to FreeNAS since I've always liked ZFS and have never found a better UI, compared to whatever Linux has to offer, even though I'm a Linux guy at heart. I run all the standard Usenet apps, and lately I've taken to running them in Docker. I haven't really messed with Rancher that much and just wanted to get things up and running, so I created an Arch VM and setup everything in there with my compose scripts.

Hi folks, I'm trying to pull my backups down from Azure after migrating to a FreeNAS install (FreeNAS-11.2-U4.1).

My credentials work, I can see my containers in Azure, and I can start a pull to my dataset, but the files keep restarting (seemingly at random). It'll download 5 files at a time, and then just keep restarting and redownloading those 5 files over and over. I've tried changing the share to Linux and allowing 777, no joy. Tried a Windows share too, but no idea if this would have...

Hello,

I have a disk in my pool that FAULTED due to 'too many errors'. It is also reporting a UDMA_CRC_Error_Count of 1, Command_Timeout of 1 so I am going to power down my FreeNAS, replace the cable and see if that helps. What next steps do I perform after powering back up? Is 'replace disk' required now? Or can I somehow clear the faulted flag?

I installed ASIGRA plugins, also without issues.
Download de java managment from ASIGRA, then register to ASIGRA.
The next step will be?
In the management java app, show me no license assign.

Hi Guys,

So yesterday I moved all my VMs from a rubbish SAN over to FreeNAS, however, I've noticed that ESXi is showing that I've used 5TB of data where FreeNAS is showing 500GB data used.

I know that compression is enabled on the Zpool however, I didn't expect it to be as good as 10x compression rate. De-dup is not enabled on the pool as far as I'm aware.

I don't know if there's an issue with FreeNAS and data might be lost or if this is expected? I've attached screenshots below.

I've checked the current issues jira and searched on here as well without finding anything but has anyone got these two to work together?

They both seem to work OK in isolation but if I enable them together then ixnas appears to jump in before shadow_copy_zfs can translate the snapshot request to a ZFS snapshot directory and I get the following error along with no previous versions returned.

Hi,

I have issues after replacing WD disks with the Seagate ST10000NM0016 ones in my FreeNAS 11.0-U4 system. The geometry (RAIDZ2 with 8 disks) hasn't changed, I simply replaced the disks with the newer ones. Ever since then, I get periodically errors like
