Hi,
when i go to the community plugin section i get this
[EFAULT] Cmd('git') failed due to: exit code(1) cmdline: git checkout 12.2-RELEASE stderr: 'error: Your local changes to the following files would be overwritten by checkout: .cirrus/install_script.sh Please commit your changes or stash them before you switch branches. Aborting'

Yes it is saying 'EFAULT' i think it should be DEDAULT...

Pool degraded now offline, doesn't show any discs in pool

I'm relatively new to TrueNAS. One of the pools I had set up was 4x 4TB HGST in a ZFS2 configuration. Yesterday I got an alert that the pool was degraded as one of the disks was offline. It came back after a reboot. However, today the pool went offline and won't come back. The 3 or the 4 disks shows up but it doesn't seem like they're included in the pool any longer. Can this be corrected? I'm building a new pool with 2 new disks tomorrow and I want to bring this one back up long...

This synology can go up to 32gb of RAM and has a current AMD CPU. Has anyone tried to isntall TrueNAS on these?

Hi!

I have been running Freenas / Truenas now for around 6 months. I have setup NC and its working really well except that i cant get HEIC to work with preview or thumbnails or in the photo section.

It seams that the Imagick version isnt compiled with HEIC support as standard for jails / freebsd.

If i put up a NC in a docker it works out of the box.

I have tried to reinstall and install the HEIC addons but im not able to compile it correct i think.
upgrade, downgrade ImageMagick but no...

As I have mentioned elsewhere, I am in the process of switching from FreeNAS 11.3 U5 to TrueNAS. As part of that process, I have left AFP behind and am using SMB-only. Most shares work without a hitch, however, backing up Time Machine shares is still problematic.

Hello there,

I am here to get some techincal advice on trueNAS.
Currently, I am building three Virtualbox systems
- one trueNAS for iSCSI, one client1 (window server 2019) and
one client2 (window server 2019) to test faileover functions.

With help of many youtube channels, I managed to start iSCSI service
and iscsi-intiator to connect iSCSI from two client windows.
I used ZVOL to make iSCSI.
Now I can switch online/offline manually from either side of computers.

This is my first time with TrueNAS. I just built a Supermicro small server, installed TrueNAS 12, created a pool (Z2). Created a user named servershare, gave it a password. Created a dataset set the owner to servershare. Went through the tutorials set the ACLs to what they said. Created an SMB share following the tutorials.

The Win10 machine sees truenas, when I try and map a drive a popup comes up asking for username and password, type them in, it comes back saying user does not exist.

Good evening,

I recently switched to TrueNAS 12 and am running TrueNAS-12.0-U2.1. As I mentioned before, I have tried to take advantage of special vdevs (via 3 mirrored S3610 SSDs), etc. by nuking the pool and rebuilding it from the ground up, then restoring from backup. Along the way, I learned a thing or two about ACLs because the new pool only uses SMB instead of AFP. I have been slowly inching my way towards getting the pool fully set up when I ran into serious performance issues...

Good Afternoon,
after long thought i thing i try to migrate my storage to TrueNAS. My Setup would be ESXi with a virtualization TrueNas with the PCI-Passthough H330 Controller. I already read a lot and think i know more or less what needs to be done. First of all flash the Perc H330 with the IT-Mode Firmware.

Unfortunately i'm somehow stuck at the moment. My dell Card has the part number 0TD2NM and the physical layout is not corresponding to any card of the thread...

Hey Guys

wondering if anyone can help, I have upgraded my FreeNAS 11 to TrueNAS 12 U1-1, I can no longer get connected to my Virtual Machine which has Rancher/Docker installed on it.

Prior to the upgrade i was able to click on my Portainer link on my desktop and it opened up no problem, but since the upgrade, I can no longer connect to it (it says it is unreachable, even though i can still ping it via the command prompt on PC.

Hey guys

Just got a Lenovo think center m92 to start into the NAS field. I burned the iso image initially with Rufus. Managed to install truenas fairly easy. But I seem to have an issue on reboot when it shows no operating system found.

I fiddled with the bios, changing boot mode from auto to legacy but it just does the same thing and it won’t even boot into the USB installer. Tried both UEFI and BIOS when installing truenas with no luck. I tried searching but it seems others have...

Installation CD boot issue

Hello,

i'm trying to install the FreeNAS-11.3-U5 from CD. My system uses 120 GB SSD and external USB DVD drive. But after i start from the CD the installation will be halted before the "Shark Menu" with following message:

Hello,

I did a clean install of TrueNAS-12.0-U2.1. In the storage pool I have 2 datasets that I'd like to share via NFS. Creating the first share went fine, however, when I try to create the share for the other dataset I get this error:

Moving from transmission to qbit since I want it to unrar the files and never got that working. QB is all set up and working fine but when I try to install OVPN I've run into some problem.
One of the commands are

but everytime I try to run that I get /conf/base/etc/rc.conf: No such file or directory. since I don't have the /conf/base/etc/ directory. Have I screwed...
