I am trying to setup Plex on Scale. I have an i5, 4 core, 4 thread, 1 250GB SSD, 2 identical 240GB SSD's, and a 3 TB Sata drive. What would you recommend for drive and Pool configuration? Thanks for reading.

Help with disk layout of different sized disks
I am helping build a storage server for our temple out of old hardware.
There is an old server with 24 drive capacity + 2. There are two 60GB SSDs to install TrueNas.
I have the following (all SAS disks)
16 x 500GB
2 x 2TB
4 x 1TB
2 x 750GB
I was planning to evenly split (have an extra 1TB, 2TB and 750GB on top of above) the disks in half and create 2 arrays with the following disks.
8 x 500GB
1 x 2TB
2 x 1TB
1 x 750GB
Total 12 disks with a capactity of 8750GB.

Which of these two controllers are preferred and why - LSI 9211-i in IT mode or reflashing the PERC H710 to IT mode? I believe both are hardware-based controllers, but I am unsure which TrueNAS prefers or which offers best performance.

Hi, I am very new to TrueNAS so please bear with me if I'm missing something obvious.

Periodic Snapshot Tasks - Pending
Hello all, running TrueNAS-12.0-U8 and trying to use Periodic Snapshot Tasks in conjunction with Replication Tasks.
When I setup the Periodic Snapshot Task I pointed it at the Pool Level which is (VolumeXL) and in the window below I only had the 1 Snapshot Task for VolumeXL. Stripe only option dell h730 RAID
Hi,
I am running TrueNAS-12.0-U6 on a Dell R730 with an H730 raid controller.
I set the RAID controller to RAID 5 and built a virtual disk with the controller configuration
When I build a TrueNAS pool I have a single disk to choose from and the only option when defining the Data VDevs is "Stripe". But the TrueNAS UI makes it clear that Stripe can be a dangerous option. What can I do about this?

Solareflare SFN6122F not being seen by TrueNAS
I bought a Soalrflare SFN6122F for my TrueNAS. The card shows up at hardware boot up of my system (Supermicro x9scm-f) but, it doesn't show under interfaces in TrueNAS. Is there something extra I need to do?

Cant create Pool on TrueNas Scale

Question about "Alternate Data Streams" (don't care for them, don't need them)
If no Mac computers will ever communicate with my TrueNAS server, is there any risk or harm in completely disabling "Enable Alternate Data Streams" for all of my SMB shares?
They're incompatible with Linux, and I have no need for them in Windows. (Unless there's something "magical" about them in which others found a practical benefit?)

Securing access to VNC/console of a VM in TrueNAS Core?
When I create a bhyve virtual machine in TrueNAS Core, I can access it directly via VNC by clicking on the VNC icon under that VM in the TrueNAS web interface. However, this web-based noVNC session only works over http, not https. I'd like to avoid this insecure access, because — if I understand correctly — another client on my network could in theory eavesdrop on the unencrypted VNC traffic, for example while I configure the root password of the guest OS when installing it.

Unscheduled System Reboot
I am running TrueNAS-12.0-U8, but this has been going on for a few months now (about six or more). I am still a newbie at this and it's driving me insane. This is random, but it seems like it's been happening about anywhere from two to six times a week. My TrueNAS server has unscheduled system reboots. Swapping storage for jail addon

I have zoneminder installed and it seemed to have installed on my 4tib drive and using my 1tib ssd for storage. How can I add por point to the 4tb storage instead.?
I see that the IOCAGE is installed on my 1tb ssd and nothing really installed on the 4... so I am confused in regards to this. I have seem guides online, however, those all point to having either a VM or a linux distro installed....
When I go to the jail in order to map the path, I only see my 1tb drive and nothing else.
