Too many certificates have already been issued

I set up a certificate with Let's Encrypt and all seems to be working fine. However, I'm seeing a lot of failed jobs for renewing the certificate that I do not understand. Mainly because I didn't think there would be automatic renewals and that I'd have to do that on myself in 90 days. It's entirely possible I misunderstood.

Do I have something configured incorrectly? What process is trying to run these renewals and is there a way for me to make it so that they don't do *so many* of these...

22.02 RELEASE Performance Regressions

Seeing performance regression with this mornings release. Most in reads, but definitely seen in all workloads in this basic CrystalDisk test. I know its a loaded and not super scientific test, but the results are very repeatable and good enough for a quick glance. 22.02-RC2 on left, 22.02-RELEASE on right.

I am migrating Nextcloud from a CORE to a server running TrueNAS SCALE. Has anyone done this successfully? It seems like it must be a common issue but haven’t seen a lot of discussion.

The biggest issue seems to be that the core app uses mysql backend and the official scale app uses postgresql so even if i manage to import the database it wouldnt be compatible.

I could use a big blue button installs of nextcloud and mysql docker containers, but that seems like it would be more trouble in...

Problems with LACP - TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02.0

Hello everyone,

I am trying to setup a LACP (2) 10gbps but am only getting 1 of the nics linked in. Below is my setup:

NIC: Chelsio (2) 10gbps SFP+ card.
Switch: Dell S4810P

I have configured the LACP in the Dashboard GUI:

Wie Verknüpfungen in den Freigaben erstellen?

Hallo,

ich wollte eben in einer Freigabe eine Verknüpfung anlegen. Aber da kam eine Meldung, dass das Ziel dies nicht unterstützt. Geht das generell nicht oder kann man irgendwo einen "Haken" setzen, damit das unterstützt wird? Oder muss ich jede Verknüpfung auf der Shell von TrueNAS per Hand (ln -s ...) anlegen?

Die Freigabe ist eine CIFS Freigabe.
TrueNAS ist die Scale in der RC Version.

Hat einer dazu einen Tipp?

TrueNas SCALE Windows VM installation id changes on every reboot

I have just reported a bug to IXsystems but I thought I'd post it here as well.


It appears that the installation id for my windows vm is changing every time I start and stop the VM.

the installation ID is visible when typing "slmgr /dlv" into the windows cmd prompt.

It has caused me to have to sign in again to the windows store on every reboot and adds another linked device in my windows store management.

[SCALE] Mass cleanup/removal of ix-applications snapshots solution required

As I've explained in another post/thread here, there is an issue with snapshots being created for ix-applications dataset and its child datasets. I mean in under a year with moderate to light use, my TrueNAS Scale server has over 47 thousand snapshots created. Yeah, you read that right - it's 47502 snapshots, out of which the boot pool snapshots taken on upgrade/update account for 5 entries and there's roughly 48 snapshots correctly managed through the Data Protection functionality...

Guten Abend zusammen,

ich betreibe aktuell ein Virtuelles Linux Mint als File Server mit 2 Netzwerkkarten, jeweils 1 GB. Da ich in meinem PC auch 2 Netzwerkkarten habe, kann ich über SMB 3 Multichannel mit beiden Karten vom Server Daten laden. Ich kann Daten mit 225 MB/s hoch und runter kopieren.

Ich habe jetzt noch ein Supermicro A2SDi-4C-HLN4F rumliegen mit 4 LAN Anschlüssen das ich für einen kleine Investition zu einer Hardware NAS mit ECC Speicher umbauen kann.
Wäre es mit TrueNAS auch...

I'm just starting with TrueNAS Scale. I have a box based on a Supermicro X9DBL-3f board and a LSI 3008 SAS HBA. I've got 2 1.6TB SAS SSDs, one labeled as Hitachi and the other as HGST.

I have formatted and verified both SSDs using the HBA firmware and also checked both using the HD utilities on Hiren's rescue disk. Both SSDs appear to be working just fine.

I see this on the serial console when I connect to the TrueNAS box:

I'm a user of Unraid for 10 years at home and I've just discovered the new TrueNAS SCALE.
I think that it is a system with much more potential, specially on my work as administrator on a research department at university.
I'm not a novice as administrator. I know the basics on Linux and Windows Server but I'm having troubles understanding how work something so simple as sharing resources (a file server).
I'm thinking on replace my home server and build another at work, but I need to be sure...

Unable to cast Plex to Android TV

Hello again,

I was able to setup Plex on my TrueNAS 12.0-U8, It was not straight forward but with trials and errors I get my media uploaded and ready. ( i had to use the USB trick, attached a USB drive with my media in it, then click import from the truenas UI. A lot faster than copying over the network, But the issue with that is that the media folder doesnt show in Truenas UI, only in file explorer).

This is reminding me of when I was 14 and first getting into building PCs and tinkering back with MS DOS 6.22. I knew just enough to mess it up big. I'm only learning as I go with FreeBSD and FreeNAS, so I'd say that makes me dangerous.
