Good afternoon,
I am trying to create personal SMB for each of my family members, so we have somewhere to store our data privately. For some reason, I created my SBM and when I went into it, all the data from the other SMB was in it, and the rights were also the same, like they were one. This is how I have it set up.
In the Pool Settings

Access to share denied through VPN
Good morning,
I have finally set up my users and shares how I needed them to work, now I have an issue where I can't access my shares over my VPN, I can access the web GUI through the VPN and I can reach the SMB share, but when I put in my username and password, it keeps saying it's incorrect. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

Use a custom "Jail" in SCALE? (Possible? Alternatives?)
Being less familiar with Docker/Kubernetes and containers, while having good results with Jails under TrueNAS Core, I'm curious if it's possible to do the following in SCALE:
Have a standalone "from scratch" container with specific CLI tools, mount points, and the ability to SSH into such a "container"; while being able to freely update the packages within.

TrueNAS SCALE 22.01.0.1 Upgrade Error & Re-Run
Hi All,
Did anybody encounter below error during the first time upgrade from SCALE 22.02.0 (Release) to 22.02.0.1 or else?
After rebooted the NAS box and ran the upgrade again, it can be upgraded successfully. Thanks.

Setup can't find boot files
Hello,
Attempting to install TrueNAS (TrueNAS-12.0-U5.1) which was burned to a USB stick using Rufus in DD mode (enforced).
I can boot to the installation menu, but as it starts it shows (see attached screenshot):
Loading configured modules...
can't find 'etc/hostid'
can't find'openzfs'
can't find '/boot/entropy'
It won't progress any further than this.
I've tried various fixes such as:
-installing older FreeNAS
-alternative USB stick
-different USB ports
-resetting BIOS
-setting IDE...

Disc serial numbers dont match up
Hi,
Normally, when having a NAS with many discs, you would write down the last 4 serial numbers of the discs and label them on the fronts of the disc bays. If there would be a failure, you can look at the discs config page, find the particular serial number and match it up with the labels.
However, it looks like none of the serial numbers displayed on the disc management pages match up to any of the physical disc serial numbers I wrote down, except for just one disc. Am I missing something...

Strange behaviour disc status
Hi,
Hope someone can point me to the right direction. For some reason I have a disc (da21) that shows UNAVAIL and whatever I try, it wont go online. I also did a SMART test and this returns a succesful test. Additionally, this same disc shows up twice in both spare location and there it shows the status ONLINE.
I have attached the screenshots of the pool disc status.

Mounting samba share to plex on truenas

need a little help/advice
so I've got TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02.0.1 up and running and added plex to it
Im needed to mount some other shares of my net work as I've got a number of SMB shares on Netgear nas devices
I looked at the default sudo mkdir /media/Plex .... sudo mount -a etc but doing this in shell isn't saved so is dropped on restart so isn't ideal.
I've checked around the forum and found stuff about "jail" samba mounts but is that maybe part of core only or is it hidden...

Server time keeps resetting
Whenever i'm changing the time zone of my machine to Asia/Kolkata (which is where i live) and i have a cron job that shuts it down every night but the time zone keeps resetting to america/los angeles when i save the changes and refresh the page. Any suggestions?

Difficulties starting a new SCALE server
I'm a user of Unraid for 10 years at home and I've just discovered the new TrueNAS SCALE.
I think that it is a system with much more potential, specially on my work as administrator on a research department at university.
