Jail Wizard Only 12.3-RELEASE selectable in TrueNAS-12.0-U8.1

Running TrueNAS-12.0-U8.1 and trying to create a new Jail, however when using the Jail Wizard I can only see 12.3-RELEASE available, no other releases are shown.
Since TrueNAS-12.0-U8.1 is based on 12.2-RELEASE I would expect to see an 12.2-RELEASE option?

Running iocage list -r shows the following:
Bases fetched
11.2-RELEASE
11.3-RELEASE
12.2-RELEASE

An iocage fetch shows:
[0] 12.3-RELEASE
[1] 13.0-RELEASE

Type the number of the desired RELEASE
Press [Enter] to fetch the default selection...

Hi!
I am on the latest stable TrueNAS SCALE release; After receiving checksum errors but SMART tests are all fine, i tried troubleshooting by swapping SATA cables believing that cabling may be the issue.
Now that i connected a HDD from a HBA cable to SATA cable, the pool is degraded and shows the following error:

pool: STORAGE
state: DEGRADED
status: One or more devices could not be used because the label is missing or
invalid. Sufficient replicas exist for the pool to...

Working through installing Win10 on a VM, however when it comes to the point of selecting the install destination Windows Installer can never find the virtual HDD setup for the VM. The tutorials / videos i've found seem to have it just show up, Windows 11 and linux will find the HDD in the same configuration. In the BIOS of the VM the HDD shows up

Changing hostname.

I have managed to change the hostname in two out of three locations, but just cannot figure out where to change that last one (the one in the very upper left of the Dashboard).

I changed it in Network --> Global Configuration, as well as in the configuration for the SMB service, and rebooted. Yet the upper left still persists in displaying the previous name.

Plex stopped working (Kubernetes issue?)

Hi Guys

My Plex install stopped working a couple of days ago. It kinda just hangs while deploying. After a bit of digging it seems like it can't find the pod. I'm definitely new to Kubernetes so not too familiar with troubleshooting this sort of thing. At least there are no pods to choose from when it prompts me for one on the shell menu for the Plex app.

I'm on TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02-RC.2, and I only have a data volume configured, no transcode or extra host path volumes.

I tried upgrading...

Hi new to Truenas and Freebsd in general. I have recently set up a new installation of Truenas, thought I followed all the advice from here and elsewhere and cannot for the life of me get the jails (emby server, plex ) to recognise any folders or files in the datasets in my drive pools. I can configure a network drive in windows 10 pro pc connected to the network using (smb) which indicates I should have the permissions set up properly but I cannot populate either plugin with music movies...

Updating Nextcloud

Hello,

I'm currently running version23 of nextcloud and there is a small update release and it has brought up how should I update. Should I go through the Nextcloud GUI or update from the truenas plugin screen. Is one better than the other or is one more reliable or I shouldn't do one.

Nextcloud was installed through a plug in, In December last year have had no issues since it has started I just like to keep things up to date.

Thank you for your sujestions and responses.

Fast when striped, slow with anything else… CPU?

Hi!

I have a TrueNAS Server with 8x 2TB WD Red EFXR. I had it configured as two 4 drive vdevs as Z1, combining to around 11TB.
The CPU is a i5-3470T CPU @ 2.90GHz, the Server has 8GB ECC Memory.

It always did well when accessed via Gigabit LAN, around 100MB/s as expected.
Now I've put a qnap 10Gbit/s card in there and connect to it via a 2,5Gbit/s USB Dongle.
It stays around 100MB/s when reading, around 220MB/s writing. Only if I destroy the Pool and set it up as a complete stripe I can...

Sonarr/Radarr (probably other *arr) jails unable to verify SSL certificates after latest update

$

This is known issue with the FreeBSD's Mono 6.8 package that is missing it's root CA store, as the cert-sync and mozroots tools write to /usr/share (which is mounted as RO in jails) - https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=258709

A quick fix for this is to copy the trusted root store from a jail after using cert-sync or mozroots for example:

iocage console sonarr
mozsync --import --sync
logout
cp -R /mnt/iocage/jails/sonarr/root/root/.config/.mono/*...

Hi,
When I try to start one of my VM, I now have this warning message indicating not enough memory on my system.
VM is set to use 4GB RAM.
As you'll see, I have enough memory to start it. I even used to have it at 6GB and just changed to 4GB.
Any idea what to do except restart system?
Thanks

Integrating Let’s Encrypt TLS Certificates with FreeNAS

FreeNAS has long had the ability to use HTTPS for the web GUI, but that has usually meant dealing with self-signed certificates and the associated headaches, or paying for a commercial certificate. With the launch of Let’s Encrypt in December 2015, trusted TLS...
